Integrative Somatic Therapy
The body, gently, listened to.
An integrative practice which explores through talking, sensing, tuning and processing the history of the body, trying to reconnect our physical, mental, imaginative, spiritual, historical, sexual, emotional selves.

Integrative Somatic Therapy in London
A practice that brings together body-based and relational approaches.
I am Laura Colomban, an integrative somatic therapist and trainee integrative psychotherapist based in London. My practice brings together body-based and relational approaches to support people through the things that feel stuck, in the body, in relationships, in the stories we carry about ourselves.
01
Working with the body.
I work with the understanding that the body is not separate from our psychological life. It holds memory, emotion and meaning, often before we find words for any of it. In sessions, I draw on somatic movement, expressive arts and body-centred awareness to help clients explore what lives beneath the surface: the physical sensations, the impulses that get interrupted, the parts of experience that have never quite found a place to land.
Everything happens at your pace, with your needs at the centre. I have worked with people navigating trauma, anxiety, grief, creative loss and significant life transitions, as well as those who simply feel disconnected from themselves and want to find their way back.
I am a certified practitioner of the Tamalpa Life/Art Process®, a Registered Somatic Movement Therapist and Educator with ISMETA, and a registered Health Practitioner with OneDance UK.
ISMETA, Registered Master Somatic Therapist and Educator.
02
Integrative psychotherapy.
Alongside somatic work, I offer integrative psychotherapy as a trainee at HumanKind Psychotherapy in South East London. My approach draws on relational, psychoanalytic and existential thinking, always held in relationship with the body, the felt sense, and the wider social and cultural context each person brings.
I am particularly interested in how identity, voice and self-expression intersect with psychological wellbeing. My training is rooted in the belief that healing happens in relationship, with the therapist, with the body, and with one's own history.
I work with issues including anxiety, depression, body image, grief, identity and trauma. Low-cost sessions are available on Mondays at HumanKind.

What to expect
- 01
We talk. You arrive, settle, and tell me a little about what brings you in.
- 02
We can either process things that are happening in your life by talking, or tuning in the body, moving, choosing an image, so we engage different ways in which we can explore the material.
- 03
We follow what is already moving, breath, micro-shifts, places of holding.
- 04
We see what's left, what your body needs. Sometimes closures are quiet, sometimes we are in the middle of something. Endings are an interesting place and can bring up a lot of emotions, we try to stay curious and non-judgmental.
